The Kona Village Resort Activities

Ocean Activities
Outrigger Canoe Program allows guests to learn how to paddle an Hawaiian outrigger canoe.  The Resort crew will share the history of Hawaiian outrigger canoe and how it was used it to the discovery of the Hawaiian Islands.  Other activities include seasonal whale watching, boogie boarding, kayaking, snorkeling, scooters (dive propulsion vehicles), standup paddleboards sailing, fishing swimming, windsurfing, and scuba diving.  Scuba dive instruction and certification programs is also available at Kona Village Resort (Kona Village is a PADI certified resort).  The marine life includes a variety of tropical fish, green sea turtles, dolphins, manta rays, and humpback whales are seasonal.  The excitement will be enjoy by all ages.

Land Activities
A wide variety of land activities you will enjoy at the Kona Village Resort.  Kona Village Resort Health Spa is respected by the ancient Hawaiians for its mana, or spirit. Experience a lomilomi massage, facial, or island-inspired body treatments. Experience at the Kona Village Resort’s spa treatment room, or in the seclusion of your own hale.  Yoga is available for all levels and the Kona Village Fitness Center offers a complete selection of cardio and weight training equipment. Personal training, nutritional programs and life coaches add a new dimension to your village experience. Enjoy the Hualalai Golf course or  tennis courts.
Enjoy a tour of one of the best and largest petroglyph sites on the Big Island of Hawaii. More than 400 carvings etched in lava provide a look into the history of early Hawaiians.
Enjoy stargazing with Jon Lomberg, Kona Village Resort’s resident world-famous astronomer, discover how ancient Hawaiians used navigated to the Big Island of Hawaii from there the islands of Polynesia.
